Topic: About the Edit function. And total upload size

I have something to add to that. on my forum WE got Guides and stuff. Which frequent updating. If we can't Edit the posts, instead of being a big detailed post, we'll have smaller full of gap posts... And I know by experience, that when looking for something, going through 20posts or more is time consuming and frustrating.

hey dart, all great questions, i'll break out the answers here:

1) editing posts - this is something that we've been listening to user feedback, and your reply to this topic is very helpful for us. We want to preserve free speech by making sure what a member says cannot be changed by another person, but we also want to provide the best experience for communities. We will probably build out an 'edit' post option in the future with the ability to see revisions.

Along this line, for your example of 'guides', we'll also be building out a webpage/wiki tool that will allow you to create somewhat 'static' pages so that you can update and clean content on those pages. If you want to give this new feature a try, you can create a new page by typing visiting a url like:
http://theblacksuns.lefora.com/pages/TEST-PAGE-NAME/edit/

where TEST-PAGE-NAME can be any page name for you to create a new page and edit it. You can then use the 'links' widget in the admin panel to paste in the new page urls you created. This feature is still in it's early stages.

2) 5mb is the max upload size, we'll put that info on the file uploader soon.

3) Search is currently disabled (as of 2 days ago) due to some maintenance, I just created a topic on this since you asked, we should have it up and running over the next week.

4) We're still polishing the permissions behavior in a forum, we'll get that sorted out over the next few weeks. We'll also be including fully private forums over the next few weeks.

There currently isn't a max total for all attachments. That is, all forums currently have unlimited storage.

I'll just use my Own post again.... I should have named it Dart's Questioning sessions... I notice there's a way to lock a category so that only admins can acess it, but I need my moderators to access it too. is here a function that would let my Mods post in the admin only section ?

1.)Should I just start a new Topic or can I keep writing in here ?
2.)admins only topic, As said earlier I want my admins and my mods to see the locked topic... BUT I don't want anyone else to access it, only my admins and mods(so if someone doesn't have an admin/mod tag, he can't see the thread). is there going to be a function for that later on ? (Maybe password protected category or something like that would be a nice alternative)

1. probably best to start new topics for different questions, it makes it easier for future ppl to find help.

2. admin only allows admins & mods to post in a category, but everybody can see it. to have a thread that

only

certain ppl can see is a feature we're calling 'private forums' and should have available over the next few weeks.
