I am the admin of my forum. I do not see where you can use smileys or change letter styles. My sister can do all that when her screen opens but I don't see any of that, I can I get to those?

You can do that by clicking on the 'switch to visual editor' function in the upper right hand corner of the edit box. Here is where its located.
