On my forum when I click "Start a Topic" one of the Categories is already checked by default. How can I disable that?

I don't think you can actually.  All you really need to do is go into a forum and start a topic there.

Oh I see how it works, if you start a topic from the home page, it automatically selects the last category you were browsing. That seems like a bug to me.

We implemented it that way according to usage behavior. We have seen that people often time start a topic in the topic they just were in. I do see your point about it being confusing if you happen to be in the main forum page however.

True, but I can also see people browsing the categories, go back to main forum page, hit post and not realize that they are posting in a wrong category.

Maybe it can be a setting in the Forum Admin?
