The topics are sorted by the time of the last reply to that topic, shown in the far right column in the classic theme you are currently using.
If a topic is maked sticky when its creted it will stay at the top of the list regardless of last post. (Admitadly we need to make it clearer which topics are sticky, thats on the todo list)
I had a quick look at your forum and everything seems to be in order to me.
Can you give a specific example of where you think it isn't working correctly?

Hi Yeah. The threads dont seem to be in time order on my forum. Should they not be in the order of latest post/response at the top, getting older further down?
