How do I promote my forum?

Not sure if this big enough to see? It did not want to go much bigger, staled on 100% first time I tried it.

Here are 5 steps to promoting your forum:

1. Have at least 10 topics and 20 posts.
Use our 'Blog Importer' in the forum admin panel to import 1 or 2 rss feeds (blogs or news sources, such as yahoo news) Then make sure you reply with your own comments to each imported topic.

If you are importing rss feeds, isn't that copyright infringement and site ripping? I want to be in the clear on this as importing some feeds to boost topics sounds good... but on the other hand, wrong is wrong. Also isn't importing duplicate content a bad thing as far as search engines go?

Our RSS importer links back to the sites in question and gives attribution to the original content. If you are unsure of the copyright policy of the feed that you are importing, send an email to the admin of that site and ask if it's okay to import with attribution and linking. Most of the forums I've seen are importing their own content that they own (such as blogs, video feeds, and flickr feeds).
