Topic: I can't delete posts in my forum

I get the message "This post has been DELETED!
it will be removed once you leave this page unless you UNDO"

Then I leave the page without clicking "UNDO", and the post is not deleted.  I've tried Firefox 3, Safari, and IE 7 without success.

Thanks,
Amin

Same here, I have tried on my mac with safari, gf's pc with firefox, nothing has worked for the past couple days for me.

I tried a test thread earlier in our "forum stuff" category. I posted a thread and made a few posts inside along with another admin from our site. I tried to delete some of his posts, and he tried to delete some of mine. Nothing was deleted so I tried to delete the entire thread by deleting the first post like I usually do. It worked fine.

Sooo... update.... I can delete threads, but not individual posts.

thank you, this must be a bug and we'll look into it (sometimes bugs like these pop up when we add features and make changes to lefora). We our adding features to lefora weekly (sometimes daily), so little bugs like this pop up time to time, but we try to fix them quickly.

For deleting a post there is a "more actions" drop down window at the end of the post. Click on that and there will be delete. With banning members
we are currently developing the feature. For the time being let us know who is causing you trouble.

We have the same problem at http://suseunbound.lefora.com/forum/ if you delete a single post that is not a top post, if tells you if you leave the page it will be deleted, yet it isn't.

If you remove the top post it will delete the whole thread though.

As a quick fix for this until the problem is solved, instead of clicking 'delete post', click 'edit post'. Then delete all the text, but don't leave the edit box blank - type a couple of spaces otherwise it won't save. Save changes, and you're left with a blank post on the thread. It's not perfect, but at least in some cases, it might be better than having something you don't want there.

Thanks for the work around snowfinch. I will pass it on to the other Staff at the SUSE Unbound forum.

Quick update, this bug should now be fixed and you should be able to succesfully delete all posts via the 'more actions' menu

Sorry for the delay.

Not fixed, the Delete now deletes the entire Thread. I found I could regain it by using the back feature of the Browser and choose edit and than enter something and Submit. The post will now be deleted and the Thread will stay. So still a bug.

Everything works now. Might be I screwed up last night when testing the feature. At any rate Thanks for fixing.
