I was just tweaking the css, and I noticed a couple of things with konqueror/kde browser the avatars do some strange jumping as in the wrong avatar goes in the wrong box, or there is the default no avatar where there is one. This is the little ones in Recently Online.

Also I just used the embed pic which didn't work, with konqueror either.

Thought you might like to know.

Also after embedding the picture I didn't have a way of removing it. Also when I use a url if editing afterwards it also removes the in line pic leaving just the url. To reshow in post you have to re-add the url for the pic. This happens on FF to.

Hi,
which version of konqueror exactly are you using?

With the embed picture, is that a url embed or an upload embed that isn't working?

I'm afraid we can't really make any promises to get it working with konqueror as it makes up such a tiny tiny portion of the visits to lefora. The ff bug will certainly be investigated though.

Thanks for the information.

Konqeror 3.5.9 I can also test on Kde 4 but not sure that's ready yet or would be worth while.

As for url hopefully this may show, this pic shows what I mean that is showing the default pink for gonzo yet there should be an avatar. I accept your point, in regards to konqueror, but this seems strange. I'm afraid it isn't really consistent either whilst typing this I've been trying to replicate it yet can't, it also swaps avatars in thread.

I'll concede it is a minor point but seems a little unexplainable and random.

As for the other hopefully I can show with some posts, as typing this I've told it to show in thread.

Click edit.

As you can see it has now turned into a url this is FF3

So now lets try upload just a small png green sqr called swab.png

click edit it goes.

Just noticed that pic does contain it, it has swapped bozo's avatar with swerdna.

So in the above posts before clicking edit both where showing in thread one url, one as upload, they do things on edit.

Url stops showing in thread.

Upload dissapears.

A FYI in regards to Konq we have members also relaying that in registering they're getting a black page http://suseunbound.lefora.com/2008/07/17/this-forum-and-konqueror/

I appreciate as you said it is a minor browser but thought you may like to know. I do get konqueror hanging in trying to add the html widget though not sure if its related.

Edit it seems by using a different browser identification it is solving it, still to check properly.

The only error I've managed to replicate is the black page, it seems that Konqueror doesn't like opcaity - the page is actually working properly, I even managed to fill in the form and submit it (tabbing between fields and pressing enter) all without seeing the thing - not exactly ideal of course.

I guess it should be possible to fix that by just stopping the opacity for konqueror - but hope you'll excuse me for not doing that right away, I only have konqueror running via X forwarding from a server the other side of the world; not the smoothest browsing experince!

As for changing the indntification, there is nothing happening our end that should take any notice of that - so that seems most odd, unless its claiming to be a textmode browser by defualt which I assume not.

Oh I was using 3.5.9 by the way

I agree Konqueror doesn't honour opacity, noticed this from the new/old posts css. I think some of the other bits maybe related to changing editor I noticed yesterday the editor sometimes takes a while to load and for a second it shows the html formatting(i,e.

). I'm thinking something similar with the avatars though that really is quite random. Something seems to be taking some time, as to what/why it places avatar pics in the wrong place sometimes

OK this has done something really strange with the last post it is missing.....

As for changing I agree as I've not really seen the black page so can't really answer(Sort of black on adding widget but I suspect again opacity again). I also don't think changing it will make konqueror honour the opacity, think this maybe one for KDE I'll test with kde4.1 see if this honours the opacity, if not I'll bug report it to them.

Thankyou Cookies for looking into this, if I don't post back KDE4.1's konqueror hasn't fixed the opacity problem and I'll bug report it to them

And is showing this in the edit window, http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3150/2713697198_bc43aa0dee_o.png

Still it is missing bits ..."I'll bug report it to them" http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3044/2712897631_92d99e15d3_o.png I've tried to fix this post several times last attempt.

As soon as opened this with FF to fix it all I needed to do was save it.

Perhaps this shows it better
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3230/2713868983_e5bbdde2ea_o.png here I added the post from konqueror all the formatting has gone.

As soon as opened FF and opened the edit the format was sorted, just save and the post is as it should be.

Well I know I seem to be keeping this one alive on my own but hopefully some of this helping this posting stuff is doing some really strange stuff occasionally.

Thought I had noticed another post around here in regards to something similar with FF and printing the formatting code or not honouring it.

But here is the latest one
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3206/2768318128_3c20d84625_o.png
Should be this how it ended up after just opening FF and clicking edit and saving. http://suseunbound.lefora.com/2008/08/16/mass-rename-of-files/#post845574

In fact I had to open this post in FF as it cropped it after the first white space it seems to be parsing "<>=" to.

Just a FYI

I'm not sure, but I'm thinking it may be a result of the system interpretting that as some broken html due to the < > useage.
I belive we have some inconsitancies in that area a I'll look into.

Thanks.
