Problems with header image

I'm using the classic forum format and have tried to upload a header image but it doesn't work. Do I need to use a different format in order to get this working or is there a bug? Thanks.

Yeah I'm using the classic forum format too, and I'm getting the same problem as you. I was wondering too if there is a bug with it.

The classic forum originally didn't support header images.

We have updated it to a new version that runs from the same code as the other new themes recently released which brings it fully into line with all the functions including header images, moving topics and locking topics.

I would reccomend holding off for a day before updgrading though as a bug has been found for ie6 users and we're working to fix that.

Has that format been automatically updated?

Lol just realised that sounded really dense. What i mean is do we reselect the classic format and click save or are there new formats that I'm not seeing?

Classic themes have been upgraded automatically, as the differences are minimal.
There is nothing for you to do, except upload a header image.

To be honest its still not the best theme for a header image as the menu bar stretches accross, but it works, and we made the header a little bigger than before to help out there.

Expect a semi-classic style theme which is much better suited to a header image in the future; can't say/show more than that at the moment...

also, a number of admins running the classic theme have added the CUSTOM HTML widget to the top of their sidebar and put a picture in there, which sits at the top right of your forum.

I still cant add a header image, it says it has uploaded but then it doesn't show. I'm using the classic blue theme.

we're still working on Header Image support for the classic theme (it works in other themes) What you can do for now, is goto your Admin Panel and click 'Widgets', then add a Custom HTML widget by dragging it from the left to the top right, then paste this code into the widget:

<img src="http://img179.imageshack.us/img179/1307/cats1eh2.png" />

You can choose to hide the widget title from your forum. Then click save and view your forum.

Ok I've tried all the other themes and I cant upload a header image into any of them. As before, it says that it has uploaded but nothing shows up.

have you clicked 'browse', then 'upload', then 'save' when it's done uploading? Also, try using a graphic that's around 900 px wide, by 180 px high.

Try with the 'Juice' theme and let us know if it works for you.

Thank you Chief. Unfortunately it has disappeared lol!
It's there when I preview but when I go back to the forum it's gone.
