I am having problem with the "Upload File" button... when I push this button, it does not work as I expected... It seems to works as the same way the Posting button.

What is happening?

Which Browser are you using? In Firefox 3.0 pushing the button brings up a listing of all /home/user files and all I need to do is select which file I want to upload. I will note that sometimes the Forum has trouble with uploading Pictures or files. I find that by exiting the Forum, and coming back to try again, it sometimes fixes the glitch and upload will work. You also might try flushing the Browser Cache.

Good Fortune.

adminll, please try uploading a small file to this forum (photo is fine). When you press the 'Upload File', a window should pop up that allows you to browse for a file. Are you saying when you press that button, your post automatically get's posted?

If the file select dialog doesn't appear then the problem is most likely flash.
Off the top of my head I think it will work with flash 7 and above, though I don't think its been explicitly tested with flash 10 beta, but there's no reason that shouldn't work.

If you have an current flash player installed, and no flash blocking plugins, then the only other cause could be something corrupting your jscript files, perhaps a firewall or proxy of some kind.

if you read cookies last post: "If you have an current flash player installed, and no flash blocking plugins, then the only other cause could be something corrupting your jscript files, perhaps a firewall or proxy of some kind."

So it seems something else on your computer or you're behind a firewall or proxy. You should try on another computer at a different location.

Yes, I know, but I only changed the firefox from version 2.0.0.16 to 2.0.0.17 and flash from version 9 to 10, the rest was not changed.... no firewall, no proxy, no flash blockers, nothing.... I really cant understand how it happens... the only thing I can see is that the Jquery you are using from google API dont have support for one or both appz I am using....

The problem IS flash 10.
It breaks uploading on many popular sites such as Wordpress and Flickr as well as Lefora.
Belive it or not, it is not a bug, but Adobe designed it this way for flash 10, and so far they haven't responded to any feedback.

There are workarounds but none of them satisfactory, so we wont making any immediate fixes, unless flash 10 suddenly goes final, in wich case we'll have to compromise user experience to make it work.

This one is out of our hands.
