Hi, I've just joined a forum and was wondering if you can change the font colour when you write?
Thanks, Mandy
[color=red]Yes i was wondering the same thing...bbcode seem to not work on forums:([/color]
there's not an easy way to change colors, one method though:
Use the standard editor which has icons for bold/italics, etc. Type a message in a different program, like ms word or ourtlook, change the color, copy the text and paste it into your text editor, you'll now see it in color and can type the rest of your message in color (not a great solution, but some people do it)
It funny that I can't change color with code, yet I can italicize with it.
I can get the message to appear in color in the "Post your reply to this topic" composing box by using the standard editor and selecting the HTML option on the tool bar. But when I hit submit, it doesn't show up in color.

thanks Rich, the above method works on some webbrowsers and systems, but not all of them. it was more of a 'hack' suggestion. Officially, lefora does not support color text in the posts (though, that hack above works for *some*.)
sorry for the confusion.
Why is it that lefora doesn't support color, italics, bold, underline, etc., text? Will they eventually?
What causes fonts to be different in different paragraphs. With out me doing anything. I noticed this once before. I fixed it but I don't remember what I did. Does it have something to do with pasting from somewhere else?
Copying from another source may cause strange issues with formatting... pasting into notepad and then copying and pasting from there should remove any formatting...
It's inheriting a style - but where is it getting it? Why just on this post?

Look at this. I just typed a sentence before the affected paragraph and the sentence is now all that's affected.
When I copy and paste certain words or paragraphs from somewhere, anything I type after it has the same font style.

Trying it here... and there it is!
copying and pasting can do that on our rich text editor, the same happens for me when i use gmail.
the best thing to do is to copy the text into a 'Plain Text Editor' like notepad to remove any formatting, then copy the text out of notepad into your post.
