I have requested that one of my four MSN groups be migrated here to see how it goes. Why doesn't the text editor have choice of font style and size and color?
Your comparizson grid is flawed. The chat option at MSN groups was disabled over 2 years ago. You CAN get email alerts from Multiply. Yuku DOES have a migrations tool, that was relased before yours.
hey craftymatthew, a few things.
1), Please use a respectful tone here on support so we don't remove them. Your questions will get answered
2) Our editor has a lot of advantages over MSN and other editors, such as auto detection of photos and videos (you just need to paste in the url, we do the rest. It may be 'boring black', but that color is controlled by the admin on the forum (i choose black for this forum). By allowing the admin to choose posting color, it makes sure if an admin changes the background color that posts are still readable (since they could change it after you post - and purple text on a purple background wouldn't be readable)
3) I'm not aware of yuku's msn importer, if you have a link, could you please provide it.
4) To protect the flow of a conversation, we don't allow members to change old posts (otherwise, it could get out of hand in an argument). You can always post a follow-up to a previous post. Admins have full control to edit the history of their own post or delete posts of others. We may make changes to this behavior in the future, such as allowing you append to old posts.
We're very active here on this support forum and listen to feedback very closely. We add new features and change existing features based on feedback and people's behaviors. So our product is always evolving, always getting a little better. MSN has not seen many upgrades and their support has been much of a blank door. I think you'll find just the opposite here at lefora - we're we are pushing out updates weekly.
And you're right about those mixup on the comparison chart, that was an HTML entry error, we'll update the chart.
i would like to import my scrabble board to my new group here at Lefora from my old group on MSN. I have tried using the html editor but it just posts the code. What am I doing wrong?
I like it here at Lefora. Nice set up and appearance, easy to navigate. I would like to be able to change the size of the font in the posts, if not the color, as some of my members having trouble reading the small print.

also tried the migration feature... this is another story.
tried the migration twice... 3 days ago and again today. still nothing,

Our old MSN Group has about 200.000 messages. I tried to migrate this forum to Multiply and Aimoo, but it was a bad experience (lost messages, bad links, etc.).
This MSN Group forum has a great information about cancer trials, finantial charts, boarst information, charts, etc. Summary, more than 7 years of posts with important information to backup.
Can you help us to migrate to lefora ??

I have a huge roleplay group at msn with hundreds of pages in about 4 sub groups, I am currently, manually, copying and pasting all of my pages to lefora since I started another non related forum here, its the only place I can find that I can keep some kind of same organisation as we did at msn. The things I would like to request for the future in lefora are: (and if you already have them please whack me on the head and point me in the right direction)
1. font colour and size options. Even if the message background is white, colourful lettering can make a difference and having the one size is getting boring lol.
2. Option to upload an image into the page from your computer. I dont have anywhere online to store my photos, maybe I should look into that, but what a pain. so much easier to just have them on your comp, or have lefora add a photo album widget so we can put them there and add them to pages from the album.
3. Membership levels other than admin moderator and member and the ability to make certain pages available to certain level members. This would be awesome for general groups and roleplay groups who have their characters rank up and earn exp, certain pages could be unavailable until you reach a certain membership level.
4. A more user freindly chat option that doesnt cost money. I havent been able to find a free one to add easily into our side bar and have it linked. At this stage we are just using Oasiz chat
5. If ever possible (which Im doubting but then what do i know) The ability to put in some static pages like a webpage, even if it was only a 4 or 5. This would the best but i dont know if thats possible.
Ok so thats my wish list, when the migration option has any bugs worked out, I will try it on some of my sub-groups.
Thankyou to the Lefora team for all the hard work you do, I really love your forums, and btw, I love the group category seperator, its great! just wish you could add free web hosting to your bag of tricks & I would be in heaven :) (well maybe not, I can only build msn webpages LOL)
I have another question about migrating from MSN... can you just migrate the message boards or do you have to do the whole site?

I know they are busy but I do understand your concern with the time frame. I am asking all my msn members to save the messages from the message boards I have asked them to name which ones they are saving. Its a pain but at least we arent loosing them.

2) you can upload photos from your computer directly to lefora, make sure you're using the 'media editor' then hit the 'upload files button'
