Lowering User Rights

I just started my Forum here. This is my first mail too.I have few basic question/suggestion on the Forum options.

1. As I see here user can invite others too. Can it be a option (enable/disable) in the Admin panel?

2. Any forum user (lefora) can login to the other lefora forum. How can I restrict my forum from everybody's access. Or can I make any Category/Sub Category accessible by selected member?

3. Any user can start a Poll. Can it be also an option for the Admin?

Hope I am not repeating the questions. If so apologies.

Regards

1. You can stop members from inviting people, but just because they're invited doesn't make them a member, you can turn on membership has to be approved by an admin to control that.

2. Again, you can control who has access to your forum by membership approval. Even though somebody has an account with a username on lefora, doesn't grant them access to your forum.

3. Nope, that's for everybody who is a member of your forum. However, you can control which polls are listed on the sidebar and delete any polls if you have to.

Those aren't repeated questions, and I hope it clears up what it means to have an account on lefora vs. being a member of your forum (which you can control)

Thnx chief for your answer. However, I can login to any forum of Lofera (tried in 4 forum) with my username, same to happen in my forum too!! How can I control that? Is it the 'Privacy' under "Setting" tab. If so, that means 'membership required to view forum' is not checked in other Forum? Moreso, how can I stop the users inviting people.

yes, you've been visiting public forums, we encourage our forums to stay public, you as an admin can turn that off. if a forum is listed in our directory, it's public by nature. private forums are not listed in the directory (so you won't see them)

like i said in #3, you can't stop ppl from inviting, but you can control who has access.

again, this is all in the privacy settings that you seem to have found, just check off the privacy settings you want and you'll be all set.

- which i noticed you have, your forum is private, i cannot access it, i just see a 'you must apply to be a member...' page.
