Having problems trying to get new members

hi, are your members still having this issue?

I have one that is still having this issue. I don't know if she is in the system anywhere but her name is Lisa Smith-Batchen and I'd rather not publish her email here.

if she is having trouble logging in, could you ask her to come to this thread (she can post as a guest without logging in), please have her post:

* the webbrowser she's using
* the url (address) of the site she's trying to log into
* what problem she is experiencing and on what page.

is it that their chosen username won't work? I had that issue, nothing I used worked until I added a number. Perhaps the names were taken. Are the usernames shared in one database for all forums? If so...a message saying "name is already taken would be helpful".

Overall, I think this forum site rocks. I have been to many as a gamer and I really like this forum site.

thanks terror for the helpful commentary, you guessed right that usernames must be unique across all of lefora, and right now the warning message is confusing, we'll be fixing it.

I think I've resolved the problem. I think she was putting punctuation in her name and in most places you can only use letters and numbers. I tried logging her in myself and I had no problem. No clue what that's about.
