Username requirements

The usernames for siging up seem to require a number in it which I think is a little silly. It says to make a password with letters a-z, numbers 0-9 at least four characters. I tried several names even long ones with regular letters and they did not work. But when I add numbers to them they register. What am I doing wrong? Is this the way it is?

Usernames do not require a number, however, they are unique across all of lefora.com, so there's a chance you may be trying to register with a username that is already taken. The warning message for this is a bit confusing right now and we'll be making changes to it.

Also, usernames can only contain characters (a-z) and numbers (1-9), they cannot contain punctuation marks, odd characters like a copyright symbol, underscores, etc.

Ok, the names were probably taken. Keep up the nice work! Lefora is the best forum I have found thus far, and the easiest setup! I am going to use it for all of my gaming forums.

I am a member, or was, and now it is gone. I can't log in and I can't get a new one because of a problem with my email address. Originaly the problem was with my user name and my email ad. I changed my user name-ok-then my email. I can't change that! I changed one letter in email and now am a member with inaccurate email. I need to get back with proper info. what to do?

Is there a way to change my username as an administrator? I have tried editing my profile, etc. with no luck.
