New Posting Editor arrives January 15th

I loved this new editor, but I have oneissue with this on my forum... I tried to edit one topic on my forum,for example, using "delete" and "backspace" button and the CTRL+A combination on the posted text,and it didnt worked, so, I found one other way to edit, I used the"enter" button on the first line of the post, and it makes the CTRL+A, "delete", "backspace" button to work..... so, it made me think it is a smallbug...

I also noticed that it have another small bug when parsing it...

.... it eats the space in the mid of the words LINGUAGEM and ASSEMBLY... and it becomes "LINGUAGEMASSEMBLY"
...when parsing documents from Word, it multiply paragraph lines by 3...and sometimes it eats the paragraph line.... if you want, I can sendthe document I am trying to put in my forum, and you can open it inyour MS Word, and see the formating symbols have there....
For the rest, it works fine... it is really fast here on myFF2... I liked it very much.... and if possible, I have some featurerequest for it... the first is text color, is it possible? the secondis more support for texts coming from MS Word, I have posted in myforum many docs from MS Word....

Looking good, so far.  As far as stability, I think it passes with flying colors.  Kudos to the lefora team.

Only thing I notice, so far are just the known issues mentioned.

F*ck yes, Chief, Cookies and the bunch, you know you guys roxxors some soxxors.

I've also got two members who have tried to use the "insert image" to add a photo from their Shutterfly accounts.  They both got "Invalid image URL" messages. I asked that they put the link directly in the big input box and add a space or an enter after it so it would autodetect it, and they said it did the same thing.

abowden4life, can you get them to provide a link in text form so we can look at it?

If the editor is just eating the links completely put a space in it where there are '.' characters, ie, http://www lefora com, then the editor should completely ignore it and just let it through as text, a private message is fine if they don't want the link getting out publicly. Thanks.

well ive read through all above , so it must be me , why cant i seem to post a you tube anymore? i loved that feature, is there still a way i can,? it was so easy looking at a box with you tube written on it??

          there are two ways to post youtube videos, simply paste the youtube video url in the main textarea and press space or enter and it will detect it and give you an option to expand it, replacing the link with the video when you post.

An example of a video url is something that looks like:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BovQyphS8kA 

Alternatively you can use the 'embed' code, to do this click the '<> Embed Flash' button and paste the code in the box that appears and hit the green button. Now a red image will appear in your post, this represents the flash file, you can move it and resize it, and when you post your video will appear in the same place and size as the image. 
An embed code is something that starts like: 
<object width="425" height="344"><param .............
Personally I prefer just to use the video url method as its so quick.

I guess I'm going to look like the bad guy as I preferred the old editor, in both looks and function.

I've noticed a couple of problems also:

When I make posts on my forum after I insert a  afterwards the text becomes bigger, and there is no way to change it. Unless I copy and paste into a RTF text editor, change it and copy it back.. it's doing it now see.

• A similar thing is happening when I post bullet points
• But see here it now worked the other way around, and the text it normal again.

Finally, you said that on Safari browsers the text editor window is resizable by default. I use Safari on a mac, and there is now resize thingy in the bottom right corner.. but one does appear on all other text boxes.

Notice also in my last post how extra blank lines are added between the text and the bullet points. I never put those there.

Can we bring back an "html" edit link in the tool bar perhaps?

well that nice quik and easy cos ya can look through questions first then post if its not ansad already, will this handy little forum and that button leave the screen in a few days?

I don't now how, why, or if this is related to this update, but I only have noticed this problem since.  My picture/avatar isn't showing up next to my posts.  It shows up everywhere else in the forum, just not in the square next to my posts.  Instead I get a blank box that says "Add your photo" and has a silhouette of a person.  Again, this doesn't really sound like it should be a bug related to the new editor, but I've only noticed it since the update.  I was on my forum just yesterday and my picture was there.

Edit: I posted this and looked here and my picture doesn't show up here either, just to let you know.

Same problem w/ the avatar on our forum.

Also, there's a long lag time when submitting a post.

All of our Avatar pics are gone from any new posts. And one guy posted a thread and it made the fonts all different sizes throughout his post. Still cant post a picture on the fist try.

All avatars are missing...And I have one thread that shows

over 100 new posts...and if you post to it the new one does not

show up for a long time...Clicking on the thread takes you to the

1st page...not the most recent...

The lag time to submit is very long....

yep mines same, same, as they say here in Thailand, so i just thought it might need resetting as it were, anyways i just put a new photo on and it accepted it fine, and still not on, but it is on the smaller versions?????

We are having problems with avatars not showing on posts, but some are showing up with wrong avatars.  The wrong avatars do not even belong to anyone in our group.
We are also having a hard time uploading pictures.
