Update Feb 25: Here's items taking highest priority right now.
We would like everybody to know what we'll be up to here at Lefora for the next 2-3 months. Our product development plan takes a number of items into consideration: feature requests from the community, features we'd like to see, methods to promote your forums, and anything that may be critical to running a forum. But note, as different priorities may come into play, some items may get bumped to a future date.
Upcoming Feature List: (in no particular order)
- COMPLETED: New Posting Editor
- COMPLETED: MSN Groups importer to save thousands of MSN Groups that Microsoft is shutting down before Feb 21 -> www.movemsngroups.com
- COMPLETED: Non-unique lefora.com usernames (so that a username can be reused on different lefora forums)
- COMPLETED: A more robust forum importer (phpbb, IPB, etc.)
- COMPLETED: More tutorials about how to get the most out of your forum and interviews with top forum admins
- COMPLETED: Improving internal forum search
- COMPLETED: And always new improvements to search engine optimization (SEO) on your forum
- NEW: Improved PM system with threaded replies
- ON HOLD: More emoticon options
- MOVED to next roadmap: An email validation process to ensure members of your forum have valid email addresses
- MOVED to next roadmap: New Email Campaigns & Reminders for members of your forum to draw them back in each week
- MOVED to next roadmap: A roles & ranking system - we'll be talking about this more in the weeks to come
- ON HOLD: Improvements to the Theme Editor with 'simple' options for you to customize your theme
- ON HOLD: Improvements to the Headlines page
- ON HOLD: A media gallery for photos, videos, and music across your forum
- MOVED to next roadmap: Widgets to help members of your forum promote the site on other services like facebook, myspace, blogs, etc.

Known/Open Issues - We have tickets open for these bugs and we'll be fixing them alongside the features above.
- FIXED Private Messages (PMs) don't include reply text
- FIXED Posting and Replying to PM's doesn't work on some mobile browsers
- FIXED File Attachment unloader now supports photos upto 5mb.
- FIXED Feb 18, Polls are showing incorrect percentages, sometimes all show 100%
- FIXED Login/Signup error messages not displayed properly
- FIXED signature field is deleted when making updates to your profile.
- FIXED Feb 26, Search is not working. Search throws a Server 500 error. In the meantime, you can search your forum on google.com, just add your forum name to your search phrase like: 'site:support.lefora.com'
- FIXED Mar 2, Carriage Returns (line breaks) don't work after editing a post. (If you're still experiencing this, please post here.)
- FIXED Mar 18, 'About' page doesn't appear to guests browsing the site
- FIXED Mar, 'All Topics' category sometimes doesn't display all topics.
- FIXED Apr, Deleting a Category with 0 topics (old ones were deleted), still warns you that there are topics (just select 'move to another category')
- FIXED Apr, Admin only posting not working (members can post)
- FIXED Apr, Email Notifications are not going out as part of a system upgrade, we're still migrating our mail servers.
- Jan 01, Stats on admin panel may not get updated with new changes to your forum
- Jan 10, Abandoned forums don't set next admin to founder
- Jan 15, RSS feed byline doesn't point to original site
- Jan 22, widgetbox flash code has changed and new widgets will not work in lefora, we're working on a fix.
- Feb 26, Syndication Widget doesn't provide correct RSS feeds. The syndication (RSS) widget doesn't link to an RSS feed at the moment. You can get your forum's RSS feed, by going to your home page, and clicking the 'RSS' icon in your webbrowsers address bar.
- Mar 31, the 'new' indicator may not always appear, or sometimes appears when there is no new posts, this seems to happen infrequently.
