Frustrations with format and email messages
I am hoping to launch my new forum in the next week, but I keep running into frustrating issues. When I post new topics and click submit, the font appears in all different types and sizes, with words jumbled together, regardless of whether I fix it and resubmit.
Also, when I invite members to sample the site for me, the email they receive has them thinking it is a spammer. This forum is meant to represent a professional organization--is it possible to edit the email messages that new members receive. For example, is there a way to edit, "Be sure to come on back now ya hear" from outgoing messages?
hi pfwadmin, sorry about the different fonts. Is it possible that your copying and pasting text from different parts of the web (like web pages, emails, word documents, etc.)? Your post looks fine to me.
We had meant to change that message in the past. I just updated it now to be more professional. The change will be pushed live over the next few days. - this is just one advantage of lefora, we're very active on support and can make changes in a short amount of time when needed.

As for the format issues, I copied and pasted from a Word document. It still appears to have several fonts in the text. Any way to fix that?

For the copy and paste formating issues, its unfortunately an inherent part of how the operating systems work.
What may work is if you are on windows, open notepad, and paste it in there from word first, then copy it from notepad and paste it into lefora. Notepad only supports plain text, so will remove all formating from the word document.
Not an ideal process I admit, but its not something we get to control from the web page.
