Embed Flash not working with this link.
I want to embed a few music players into different posts.
Here is the code:
<div style="text-align: center; margin-left: auto; visibility:visible; margin-right: auto; width:450px;"> <embed style="width:435px; visibility:visible; height:270px;" allowScriptAccess="never"src="http://www.profileplaylist.net/mc/mp3player_new.swf?config=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.profileplaylist.net%2Fext%2Fpc%2Fskins%2Fconfig_black.xml&mywidth=435&myheight=270&playlist_url=http://www.profileplaylist.net/loadplaylist.php?playlist=56966183&t=1233464529&skinurl=http%3A%2F%2Fi407.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fpp153%2FSRHazen%2FKBN%2Fskin1.jpg" menu="false" quality="high" width="435" height="270" name="mp3player" wmode="transparent" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" border="0"/> <br/> <a href="http://www.profileplaylist.net"><img src="http://www.profileplaylist.net/mc/images/create_black.jpg" border="0" alt="Get a playlist!"/></a> <a href="http://www.mysocialgroup.com/standalone/56966183" target="_blank"><img src="http://www.profileplaylist.net/mc/images/launch_black.jpg" border="0" alt="Standalone player"/></a> <a href="http://www.mysocialgroup.com/download/56966183"><img src="http://www.profileplaylist.net/mc/images/get_black.jpg" border="0" alt="Get Ringtones"/></a> </div>
It worked, then when I went to change the skin, it said invalid code.
Even when I tried to paste the original code back in I got the same error.
Oh darn.....
I think you would have to embed this into a custom html widget in the sidebar, rather than a post.
Looking at this code, width=435 is awfully wide to fit into a sidebar - is this customizable to a narrower width? Chief's posted stats here before that shows that 50% of users have a screen width of less than 1280 pixels, meaning the sidebar would take up half the screen...
Also, make the sure the music player has a pop-out option, otherwise every time you change the page it will reset....
![]()
I had it on the sidebar, then removed it. It has a pop-out option as well.
I got it to work. Problem is that some codes are not in a single line config, and the embed flash does not recognize anything beyond that either.
I am all over your site now as well. Some awesome stuff on it. Because of your CSS tips for my format, I am personalizing it more and more and am getting rave reviews. Thanks!!!
I've just copied your code into a custom html widget on a test forum and it worked no bother...
I know nothing about flash, but I've checked your code above versus the embed code for a youtube vid, and the structure is totally different. In short, it's sidebar or nothing...
I was playing and forgot to uncheck auto-play. Its an option on there.
Thanks!!!! You rock!!!
