Can We Limit Membership On These Boards

Can we (I mean you guys) limit memberships to forum admins (and possibly mods)? I don't know where all these 'guests' are from or what they're trying to do, but they are really starting to irk me.

Me too but I guess it's because this forum is free access to all not authorised like some.
I just do a thumbs down and hope others do the same to hide em but I guess Chief will delete em when he comes on line.
What would be good is if members could mark posts as Spam like Admins can.

We'll investigate this further, it seems to have just been one or two blasts and we haven't had an issue with it before.  If a post gets 3 thumbs downs (you two and somebody else), it's automatically collapsed out of view for everybody else (a type of community moderation).  As this seems to only have been a recent problem, we'll see if we need to take other action.

and like you said, the support forum is open to guest posting so that if somebody is having trouble logging in, we can still have them post.
