Not feasible - will only work in the sidebar.

you can add it to your sidebar and we recommend http://www.chatango.com or   www.meebo.com

I would like one as well....how do you actually put it in the side bar?

There is so much room under the forum pages.............and not a lot on the side bar, plus I could use a bigger chat box if I could put it under the main pages..............any way to put it there chief ??

sorry, there's no way to do that, but something we'll consider for the future.

You can just create a 'chat room' post if you want and embed the flash into a post, so everybody can open that if they want.  You can also make your sidebar wider with CSS, head over to hackyour.lefora.com to learn how (you may have to post a new topic).

Chief..........I put it in a post and on the sidebar (chatingo)  it works for me, but nobody else can see the chat box in the post, they can only see the one on the sidebar. Any ideas ????
Also while Im here instead of creating another "HELP" topic...................any way to send personal messages to someone in our forum. I read somewhere about people sending them and I see nothing in our forum about PM's  ????  Can you help me out here buddy  ????

Stackattack, to send a PM, just click on the recipient's avatar and then on the envelope icon to the right of their name.

 
Or go to your messages inbox (in the userbar) and click 'send message' to compose your pm.

i want to add a chatbox to my forum please help been trying for ages

Add a 'Custom HTML' Widget in the sidebar, and paste in the code supplied by the chatbox site. I believe http://www.chatango.com/ or http://www.meebo.com/ are the preferred options here.

Has anyone been successful in adding a meebo chatroom to their forum by embedding it in a topic? I have been able to add one as a widget, but the space is so narrow that it's not going to work for our forum. If I try to put it into a topic, I get an error message about the embed code, and don't have any idea how to correct it or if it can be corrected.
... Chatango works in a topic, but we'd like to be able to test drive a meebo room as well to see which one works best.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you post the meebo code here?

Meebo is horrible.
The only one that works halfway decently that I have found is the Chatango.....
