Private Group from MSN to Lefora

We do offer private groups on lefora, just click 'Forum Admin -> Settings -> Privacy' and you can change the settings there.

For moving a group from MSN to Lefora, you'll need to make your msn group temporarily Public Restricted so that we can access the data (but you can leave your lefora group as private).

thanks i appreciate that and i see that i will get a verification when the transfer is complete.  

I'm alittle bothered by this email.  I was told that it would take no more than 2 days and than be complete for you to migrate my private group 7 days ago.  Now I get this email and don't know what to do and looking for help and a forum that can support a busy forum as I like the community and would like to promote it but not if I get mixed messages and now not sure what I want to do as I have almost 3,000 people I want to transport over and am in limbo.  I know other forums are offering doing a complete migration and prefer to stay here and could use some support or help.   Thanks.

Because we're running a bit of a backlog, the process runs in two stages.  The 2nd stage may happen after Feb 21st, so you will not have time to inform you group if you don't do it this week.  Here is an example group we moved from MSN so you can get an idea if you like the service:

STAGE 1) We DOWNLOAD the message boards of your group to our servers.  Due to time constraints, we cannot download the photo gallery's or pages.  If you want to save your photo gallery, there is a third-party application that can save your photos to your computer.  It's not associated with us, but it's free for 30 days:

If you would like to move your pages from your group over into your new home on lefora.com, you can copy the text from your page, and paste it into a new topic on lefora.  You can link to that topic on your sidebar, so that your members can easily find the pages.

STAGE 2) We IMPORT your group into your new home.  Please note, downloading of Stage 1 means that we have a 'copy' of your group's message boards, this will allow us to 'Import' your group into your new home, potentially after the Feb 21st closing date.  We will send you status updates."

there's a chance that your position in the queue got confused (we have 1000s of MSN mangers we're working with).  Just send an email back to the person who emailed you with your info and everything will get straightened out.
