How to approve membership for someone that has been removed

I would like an answer to that question as well.  We have had this problem with members who disappeared, but were not removed by an admin nor did they take themselves out, yet they cannot join.

I also have the same question when the circumstance is that an applicant is initially denied membership to a forum.  Lefora does not allow them to reapply.  I would prefer that no one be denied the opportunity to reapply--EXCEPT for individuals's who admin deliberately banned/removed  from the forum. 

Finally, there should be an option to unremove (unban) members we have deliberately banned.  (All "removed" members should appear on a list in the admin panel.  Just put a check box next to them that says "unremove" or "unban", and the admin could go in and change their status to let them reapply if we so desired down the road.

Send an e-mail to Chief, he can release the members block. However, it might be that they have been deliberately removed from another forum for any number of reasons. Remember that members are GLOBAL to lefora but specific fora access can be refused if that member has been banned. Their e-mail address cannot be used twice for different logins.

And as an FYI for anybody, if a member is removed/banned from one forum on lefora, it will *not* affect their memebership in any other forum, even if it's run by the same admin.

We do not allow members to reapply after they've been prevented from joining, because it would allow members who have been removed for other negative reasons to become very annoying by constantly re-applying, we'll probably offer other creative solutions here in the future.

Because banning should only be used in severe circumstances, and it disconnects history, private data, and previous posts with members, there's no way to allow a banned member to return, they will have to sign up for a new account.  If you think you'll want to allow somebody back in the future, we recommend 'removing' them.
