Is it possible to make one category (or topic) private?

Our forum is currently set so that only members may post but everyone is able to view content. We'd like to add a chat for members only, and can't figure out how to do that without making the entire group private.  I have been able to add the chat within a topic and/or in the sidebar, but both are visible to the public.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

May not be what you want, but heres a suggestion. Create another Forum, set as Private only members may view/post. Now add as a widget a chat application to that Forum. You could have this mentioned on your open Forum as being available to members only. Do not link to it (or give out the name) but have people ask for the link via PM and that way the Private Chat Forum should not get request for memberships all the time.

Hope that gives you some ideas!

Thanks for the suggestion. I was hoping there was a way to create a secure chat area for our members without asking them to join yet another new forum, but I think your idea is definitely a good way to do this. Once they've joined the second forum, it should be just a click or two to get them into chat. We'll definitely look into it.

Yeah, the advantage of Lefora, is that they don't need to sign out/in between forums.  You can just add a link to your side bar called 'Admin Forum', and they can just click on it.  Only members you approve will have access to the posts inside that forum.
