OMG:

Does making someone else the founder remove your founder status? (I've never done this, so I don't know)
If it doesn't then can you just change their status back?

YA I SCREWED MYSELF, IM DYING AS WE SPEAK, DYING. I NEED HELP. WHEN U MAKE SOMEONE THE FOUNDER OF THE SITE  ARE AUTOMATICALLY CHANGED TO AN ADMIN. ONE OF MY STUPID FRIENDS CHANGED IT BECAUSE I WAS ON THE MEMBERS PANEL AND HE JUST CHANGED IT.

I take it your new 'founder' won't change it back?

she will but i need to contact her first before i can do that. ive got someone doing that right now though but im still screwed. i never thought something like this could happen in a 1000 years. f***

When you try to elevate a member to Founder status you get a pop up notice that there can be only one Founder and if you continue the process the previously named Founder will become a Admin. I explored this when I wanted to have Co-founders for my Forum. You must be the Founder to accomplish this.

Your "friend" must have been using Your account to accomplish this. You might consider if others have access to your Computer to logout after your session. Let them setup their own accounts.

I believe Lefora can reset it for you if the other person won't.

Correct mattb4, if you make somebody 'founder' you become an admin (having full rights over the site).

I would suggest that you contact your friend and ask them to switch you back to founder, that's the easiest/quickest way to set things straight, it'll take a bit of time on our part.

ya but  *like a dumb a** * i was helping someone 2 computers away 4rom me . now see i was logged on and i was on the admins panel looking at my members and i seen the a** hole fiddling with my computer, i come back im an admin. but like u said thats my fault because i left it unattended. but lucky 4 me i know the person that was set to founder and i was working all night to get it back searching the engines and guess what i found her and got it back.  *thank god she wasnt the type to keep the forum*.
