My friend can`t join lefora for some reason?

Maybe they should try different user-names?

hi burt, its not their user name that`s the problem, its their email, they are being told their email already exists in lefora, they are being asked to use an alternative email?  (their email can`t exist in lefora - they have never joined lefora.)

Its possible that the email was registered by a spam bot if they did not do it themselves. Might have them check to see if their computers are trojaned. The only easy thing to do for them is to get a alternative email for Lefora registration.

The bots have to use some email address. Not saying this is the case, could be the friends registered at some point and just forgot that it was part of Lefora.

Spam bots use fake emails to register - by chance one of them could have generated the same email as teflon's friend.

Hi, If you have your friend email me, I'll investigate the problem and get it fixed.  It's possible he registered for another forum on lefora and doesn't realize it (some of our forums don't use the lefora domain name.)
