Disappearing moved topic

this has been happening to me plantsman... i dont know why it does it but if you go into the new category where you moved it and create a new message.. I titled mine 'test post' then submit, then go back to the category listing the missing topics/messages appear.. you can then delete your test post... its tedious but it worked for me... the other thing i found was if it was a new category and there were no original posts in there, the moved posts dont show up till you actually make a post in the new category manually.. hope that helps hun

Hi lissa, thanks for the advice but unfortunately it hasn't worked for me. All it has done is to leave my title 'Fault test' , in the last post column.
Very dissapointing that the move function should cause this because it can't be good for the very few member I have. Disappearing posts is the last thing I or they want.

I just tried to recreate this bug and I was not able to.

My actions:

• Clicked Forum Admin -> Settings -> Categories
• Clicked on a category, then selected 'Move Category', then selected a new category for it to go into.
• Then I clicked 'Delete Category'
• Then I clicked 'Save'

I saw the category deleted and the topic in it's new home.  What actions are you taking?

hi, is it possible that the category you're moving the topic to is empty?  If so, there seems to be a bug around this, and we'll get it fixed.  More info here:
