Hi lwise, I noticed you have your forum set to private.  You could always charge members to access your forum using paypal.com.  You would have the option of not allowing their membership until the paid a fee.  You can also use a paypal 'donations' button on the sidebar of your forum so that members could 'donate' to your paypal account.

I have tried to set up the PayPal donations button in the sidebar, but it won't show up.  Any ideas as to whether it is a PayPal thing, or me, or Lefora?

I run Juice.  I choose 'Custom HTML' and put in the PayPal html code, but nothing will show up underneath the tab.  Any help appreciated.

If you paste the paypal code here, we can examine it and help you get it working.

As for google adverts, that's something that we may have available in the future, it would be a premium service.  You can email me at 'chief -at- lefora.com' if you want to learn more.

Neither of these codes seem to show up.  Either would be fine, though the second is preferable.

The following code works in a Custom HTML Widget in the sidebar. Replace XXXXXX with your account code.

<p align="center"><a href="https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&amp;hosted_button_id=XXXXX" class="external" rel="nofollow">
<img src="https://www.paypal.com/en_GB/i/btn/btn_donateCC_LG.gif" border="0" name="submit" alt="PayPal - The safer, easier way to pay online." /></a></p>
