Having trouble deleting a category that has PHANTOM posts in it ?

I have recently experienced this issue. I had a category that I had deleted all the topics in but the Admin settings showed it still had TWO "Phantom" topics in it and deleting the category failed to remove it.

By following this procedure I was able to successfully delete the category.

1. The category shows No TOPICS in Category View.

2. Go to FORUM ADMIN > SETTINGS > CATEGORIES and select the category in the list, then look at the category settings to the right.

3. Click MOVE TOPICS and select another Category to move the Phantom Topics to.

4. Once the topics have been Moved IMMEDIATELY click the Delete Button.

If you move away from the category without deleting it, then the move of the Phantom topics will not take place and the next time you view the categories, they will have returned.
