How to "Batch Delete" topics/categories to "Re-Purpose" a Forum?
As a test/experiment, I set up the forum as a collaboration site for a small class project on Somalia. Now I want to re-purpose the site for the "real" forum and remove all of the categories/topics related to Africa.
I have moved all Topics to one Category, and even though the forum was hardly used (sadly my classmates are technophobic), because I pulled in RSS feeds from blogs - I now have >180 TOPICS to delete before I can delete the last Category.
How can I do a "batch delete" to remove all of them at once - and not 180 topics one at a time?
Many thanks in advance for your help!

No way to do a batch delete. I have a "dumping ground" of a category where I put all posts I don't want from a category I want to delete and move them there. I make that category "Admin Post Only" When I get a few minutes I delete a few posts and then come back later.
Thanks for your quick reply. It saved me a lot of time from hunting for a solution I would not find, and your solution will work great.

Is there a way to request for forum administrators to "reset" entire forum so I can simply start over?
I am having a bit of trouble getting changes to save and deletions to delete. I also found that for some reason, I cannot make edits to the About... text and other frustrations. I don't want to abandon the forum name and URL, and in the end there is not that much I would want to save.
It would be so much easier if I could start over fresh. Is that possible?

if you would like to start fresh, you can create a new forum at www.lefora.com. We have a Custom Domain promotion happening right now that would allow you to use a custom domain name on your new forum.
Yes, thank you. I saw the promotion this afternoon, and have already sent a Tweet to request the custom domain name because I thought it was a great opportunity.
Forgive me, but I am still a little confused about how it would work....
Does that mean that I would be starting over with a new forum altogether (i.e. I would not have been able to simply convert my current site over to a custom domain).
Would the new URL be forum.SimonSaysSynergy.com (as described in the custom domain link above) because the name would be available just like I might also register SimonSaysSynergy.org as an alternate domain?
One last question:
I could not change the domain for the initial forum (SimonSaysSynergy.lefora.com), so I concluded I would not be able to create a new forum to point to SimonSaysSynergy.com - so what would happen to the SimonSaysSynergy.lefora.com location? I would not want to continue to use it - does it just remain in cyberspace or can it be removed altogether?
Thanks so much for your quick reply to my earlier inquiries today. Great customer service! I have been impressed - I did not expect to hear back for a day or two!
