Limiting what members can see in the forums
Hi There.
I have set my forum up for world of warcraft guild. How ever, when new members apply to our guild and are accepted for trial, I dont want them to be able to see the Vetting and Officers categories. How do i change it so that they dont see these. Also when a member applies and is given forum access, there is member, moderator, admin and founder options, can i add Trial Member to this and then specify which catorgories they can see.

In answer to both these questions, the answer is NO. You cannot limit visibility of any topic and you cannot add to the Status list.
I would suggest for item 1 you create a new forum, a sub or the original and make it a private one for your Vetting and Officers only, then invite them to join.
For item two you could again change the status of the forum to PRIVATE such that new members can see but cannot post. Perhaps also creating yet another publicly viewable forum but setting all categories to Admin Post only and then lock all topics as posted, thus making it READ ONLY.
