members cant start new topic

Hi I have some members that have just joined my forum but cannot post topics? They can log in and register but not post?Please help!
Under the section categories it is just a blank and they cannot select a category to post under.
it's possible their posts are going to spam (we're working on better notifications for this). You should goto your admin panel, click 'Members -> Spam Management', after unmarking them as spam (it may take a few times) our system will learn.
