Hi,
In your latest update about going pro, you state that the current file linit is around 294 files.  Is each thread/post a file?

Is there any way we can check our bandwidth usage?

Just click the 'Upgrades' page and at the bottom, you can see your usage.  That example is a snapshot of the support forum.  294 files is not your limit, but how many files are in use on the support forum.  Files are uploaded files: (photos, music, documents), topics are not files.

I'll make this clearer in the post.  Thanks for asking.

Thanks for your quick response.  As my forum grows, the pro option will definitely be considered.

Right now I'm trying to grow mymembership which is only 13.  It was 7 last week.  Hoepfully more members will join.

I'm not very technical, so I apologise if this is a silly question. What contributes towards a forum's storage limit? Is it merely uploaded files, or do pictures and videos which are linked from other websites, such as Flickr and Youtube, contribute?

Pictures and videos embed from other websites, such as flickr and youtube do not contribute to your forum's storage as those are hosted on their respective site.

The only that that contributes to your storage limit is:
 * uploaded files, like documents, pictures, music, etc.
 * topics & posts

Posts are extremely small, a 1000 post topic would be much smaller then your average digital camera photo.  Usually the biggest hog of storage on your forum is photos uploaded by members.

However, the limits we set are incredibly generous and as of today, there is not one lefora forum that is close to being at the limit - this is because we spend a lot of time compressing the files on your forum to take up less space and save everybody money.  We choose the current limit so as not to cause problems on any existing forums on Lefora - the limit only applies to really huge forums or forums with lots (we mean lots) of photos and files.

If anybody is concerned about the file storage limits, please send me an email at 'chief -at- lefora.com' and I will personally review any questions or concerns you might have.  We are not in the business to squeeze admins for money, we are in the business of providing value and service that makes admins happy.  Lefora Pro is for admins that want to take their forum to the next level.

Thanks for the info on user limits, will you let us know in plenty of time if we are getting near to our limits.
The system you use seems very easy to us.
Good work.
