Notifications

Same thing here. I got a bunch yesterday, but they all came six hours after the actual messages had been sent. Today, not one.
And that error 500 with the rainbow is showing really often.

Today, same thing. I am receiving the notices many hours after the actual messages are sent.

if anybody else is experiencing this, please let us know (from this point forward).  And refer to the bullets below.

1. Did you receive a notification a few hours after the fact, if so how many hours and what type of notification.
2. Did you not receive any notification at all (please wait 24 hours before assuming it didn't arrive)
3. Did you check your spam folder to see if it accidently landed in there.

Different PM problem :

I'm receiving the notification (within 1 minutes of the pm) but there is no 'new' showing in the user-bar.

1) Not receiving a notification after a few hours
2) None at all
3) Yes, every day....keep running tests etc

I do however get "new" nest to messages....but of course i have to login to see this!

any joy with this?

I've been notified of a PM in my mail after a whole day or after a few hours.

I've been receiving mine within minutes...

Ok then, so we have varying results......what is the next step? Still not receiving mine and being the owner/admin it is pretty essential that i do!

nicmac, is it possible you changed your notification prefences in your admin panel to not receive emails about PMs?  If the box is checked, then you will be opted out, the box should be left unchecked (under 'Edit Profile' -> Notifications)

Already checked as stated in my 1st post. I cannot think of anything else to do? The guys on the forum who i have asked are receiving them???

send me an email to 'chief -at- lefora.com' so I can see your email address and what domain it's on.  Nobody else has reported experiencing this problem, so I think it may be something related to your email provider.

I had a pm today from a member she can not post her pm's in the white box she has to use the subject bar to say what she wants.

Get her to check her add-ons if she's using FF. Script-blocker can disable the posting editor... (I've had that happen.)
