FarmTown Forum
For those addicted to Facebook's Farm Town game. This is a private forum that you must be approved to join. It's set up this way to develop a network of respectful people to hire for harvesters and/or to cultivate friendships with.
Here are the rules of the forum:
1) Only harvest what you are asked/invited to harvest. If the farm
owner wants to leave the trees with fruit on them or wants to save some
of their harvest for another player - respect their wishes.
2) Be
polite! Say please or thank you and avoid using inappropriate
language/content. Just imagine your mom was reading what you were
saying (especially since many of us on here ARE moms) :)
3) If
you have an issue with a member here - message me (Val/AutumnFire). I
will investigate it and warn or kick off those as needed. (All members
will get at least one warning before being removed - how many warnings
depends on the severity of the misbehavior, I would suppose).
4) Remember that not all players speak the same language. Let me know
if you need translation (I speak English, Spanish, and German. I also
have REALLY good translation software). Another resource is Google
Translation. Always clarify what is being said if you are confused.
5) Have FUN! This group is about reclaiming the fun of FarmTown. It was started to give a safe/fun place for people to network.
If you agree to all the above and are interested in joining a group that will respect your harvesting wishes and/or behave in a polite manner towards you.... please check it out!
I noticed you've made your forum private. I understand that you want to ensure it's a respectful forum, but you can always keep it public to view, membership required to post. This will help ensure that you get new members to your forum, otherwise there is no way to find it. 1/3rd of all lefora forum visitors come from a google search, but google cannot see inside a private forum, so the forum is never indexed and restricts potential new members from finding your forum.
Thank you. Unfortunately, people post job links that take you directly to their farms in the game. You can also get Facebook information from these links. So making it so the public can view it would also defeat the purpose of creating a relatively safe/hassle free experience for these gamers - which was the reason for opening up a forum here. I wish there was a way to make the board public but make it so certain threads remain hidden until after membership.
We advertise our forum on Facebook and the Farm Town's Developer's forum. I thought I would just extend an invite to people from Lefora who may also play Farm Town. 
You could have two forums - one public (for applications, vetting etc.) and one private. A simple link in the sidebar would make it easy to navigate between the two.
where is farmtown?? please tell us that it will be back tell us anything like that....
all other forumns I have joined ask for your email addy ,,so they can mail u a password
seems wrong to give u access to my email acct. by giving you my password

Farmtown forum has been abandoned...
it appears there is an error with that message at the top, there are still admins on that forum, so i believe it's still active. I'm testing it myself.
