Unable to save any changes

Hi,
The last week i have been trying to tidy up one of my forums and delete some categories and move some topics around etc and when ever I try to move something or delete it it wont save it. I click on the save button and it just keeps on spinning saying saving changes but doesnt stop and say the changes have saved.. right now it has been 'saving' for 15mins and it wont stop unless i refresh or go to another page and when i do that the changes are not saved. Its really starting to 'bug' me lol
