404 error

it's possible your messages are going to spam, you should ask the admin of the forum to check their spam folder under the Memberships tab on the Admin Panel.

I think you misunderstand. It's when I go to read a thread. I get a message Error 404 Page cannot be found. I know the page is still there because others have posted on it.

What's the link for the thread?

It's a private forum. The link won't help if they don't approve you, and they won't do thet if they don't know you.

If an old thread is now returning a 404, it sounds like the admin deleted the thread.

I am admin on vaihtarit.lefora.com (aka vaihtarit.takeforum.com/forum) and members are reporting error messages when trying to open the newest message in each thread. This occurs when you're navigating in the category's main page and try to open directly the last page of any thread or clicking the message link which says that message was sent e.g. 3 hours ago. I get this 'page not found 404 error' also, even when I am the admin and I havent't deleted any messages or threads. Is there a bug or something?
 
Also, members are asking if we could have 'mark all posts read' function on the forum.

for the 404 error, if you can provide links to the pages that give you 404s and a link to the page that you first clicked on to get to the error page, that will help us debug.

However, this error occurs in every single thread in any category, these two are just examples.

In these 2 examples the first version of the link does not work, but the second version does.

Ok so it seems its some broken links somewhere, I'm guessing on the page list?
I'll fix it tommorow, should be simple once I find which one it is.
So if you can let me know which link exactly you're clicking, that will be helpful.

The links I put in my previous post, http://vaihtarit.takeforum.com/2008/10/09/australia-ja-uusi-seelanti-page22/ and http://vaihtarit.takeforum.com/2009/02/24/explpage12/ are the broken links I am referring to and other links are the first pages of the threads that work fine. It is always the last page of each thread that don't work and give the 404 error. I am adding a screenshot of the links we are trying to access and those red circles are only an example, as this error occurs when clicking the last page of any of the threads on our forum, or the links which say "2 hours ago" etc. this error seems to occur in each category on our forum.
