Content Import option not in Admin panel
Well, me neither. If you discover where it ended, please drop a note here.
We've removed it as an option due to how it was affecting our server load. If you have it set on a current forum, it will continue to work. But the vast majority of imports were being used either on old dormant forums, or spam, both of which were slowing down all of Lefora. We may bring this back in the future - but due to a few server downtimes over the past few weeks, we've removed it to make sure our servers stay optimized and all forums on lefora load without any issues.
Chief, Thanks for the answer. This is kind of a "downgrade", but I understand the reason.
On the other side, it would have been nice to know in advance. Would have saved us some time of scratching our heads and looking for the app.
My two cents: give us at least the option of unsubscribing to a blog feed. Suppose there is a feed that we don´t like anymore, that is becoming annoying or offensive In the current situation, we would be stuck to these posts. (Not my case, I am just considering the issue).
Best regards
Felipe
Perhaps there could be some sort of correspondence to ensure feeds are legitimately needed?
I would have no problem following up on a regular basis so you guys know the feeds aren't being imported for no reason.
I just sure would like to have control over adding (and subtracting) the feeds on my forum again.
Also, existing feeds will still show up in a timely fashion, right? (kinda waiting for one to show)
they should show up in a day. If you need any feeds removed, just email me at 'chief -at- lefora.com' with the info.
On the subject of feeds. I am having the opposite problem. Someone elected to delete several RSS posts on our forum which I would have preferred they had left alone. Some of the postings had drawings and accounts about equipment and operating practice which is gone now. Would it be possible to allow us to decide what we want to delete or keep. I mean, whose group is it? I imagine some were single posts with no replies yet and someone had a problem with that. I guess I will, in the future, make it a point to add a post to keep it from being erased. Perhaps something like lol duh yikes or at least less than 140 characters of drivel.
