Your Password Reset Ticket Has Timed Out

I've searched the forum for references to password problems and logging-in problems but I haven't found this particular error so apologies if this has been asked before. We have a user (am80) trying to login to lefora so that they can join our forum (http://vame.lefora.com) and he keeps getting the message "The username and password are invalid.".
When he clicks the "Forgotten password" link he gets an email with a reset link in it and as soon as he clicks that link he gets the message "Your Password Reset Ticket Has Timed Out".
I don't know if this is a red-herring but I asked the user to forward the email request to me and it had the time stamp "26/5 05.31" even though he requested the reset at 0700 on 26/5 (UK time).
Is this a special case or shall I advise him to email chief -at- lefora.com?

I would email Chief.
it could be that his email reader is breaking a link in half, across lines or something. He should copy the full link (maybe across two lines) into a new browser window and try loading that (because of the expiration protection, he should request a new password reset email to do this).
if that doesn't work, have him forward his email to me at that address, thanks.
