Huge lag when trying to exit a post with multiple embedded YouTube vids
Hi,
I recently created a thread where the first post includes about 10 embedded YouTube videos. This post opens fine, and there is no problem scrolling down in it. But when I press "back" in my browser, or navigate somehow else out of that post, the whole browser hangs for a long time. Typically a few minutes. I have only seen this problem with this particular post.
That's flash for you I'm afraid, generaly the more stuff you embed in a page the worse it performs, nothing we can do about that, we're stuck with the technology they gave us.
First of all, sorry for posting this here, it should have been in the Bug section.
Actually, the post is a copy of a web page which contained the exact same embedded objects, and that web page did not lag. So it seems to be something with the forum. The good thing is that it seems to be faster now.
