Lag when trying to edit posts

Hi,
When I try to edit a post it takes quite a while before it reacts to my typing. There is a lag between when I open a post for editing and when it is actually responsive to me. It seems like if I start to type in something new, rather than deleting something old, it snaps out of the lag quicker. Is it possible to do something about this?
I'm assuming you're using firefox3, this is a known (and very annoying) bug with firefox.
As you've noticed typing something before trying to delete generally makes it behave.
Hopefully we'll find a proper way around this sometime.
