Upcoming changes to how 'Deleting' posts works on your forum

Kudos for the undelete and unspam buttons.  It would be perfect though if only admins and mods see the hidden posts w/o loosing the undelete/unspam ability like the 'hack' introduced by Chief.

Hopefully, in the near future that would be feasible.

I may be dense (or looking in the wrong place) but I can't seem to see this "hidden post" notification anywhere.

I would like to undelete a thread that was previously deleted - is this change that everyone is talking about only relevant for posts inside of a thread?

if a topic is deleted, there is no way to undelete that at the moment, undelete only applies to replies (posts) at the moment.

I have pages and pages of empty space in our "for sale" section.

Pages 1-8 are all empty. We delete posts that are three weeks or older in this section. This gets to be somewhat of a pain for members to find even the first post. They need to go thru page after page to find where the listings start.

I know your stand on this but is there anyway around this?

You could start a new thread every calendar month or so?

I was a little concerned about people accidentally re-opening spam posts with viral links in, but thanks to your CSS solution, Chief, all is well...
