In the takeforum forum system we had, as admin's, the ability to access email addresses of forum members. I am currently unable to have that ability. Do I need to have a non-public forum for this to occur? Please advise

Many thanks

You don't have any access to members' email addresses. If you need to contact members, you can use the pm facility.

No.

PMs can be accessed through the 'Message' option at the top-right of your page.

This is very problematic. while accessing the emails is understandable, I do have a very real need to send out a "global email" to our members. It was something that we did once every 6 months for members of our forums. Is there a way for this to be done? I don't need to see the emails, however many people have been confused by my forum becoming destabilized in takeforum and then moved here.

I see from your profile that you are not listed as a Admin. If you can get that corrected you will have options for sending a Group E-mail to all of your Forum members. I note the issue is due to the transfer of your Forums and having a missing Founder. Not sure if you can get Lefora to help until Business hours on Monday, though they do stop in here to Support on their Off-time now and then. Hope that explains a bit.

Thanks Matt, However I must be lsited as admin, because not only do I have access to -private and -private2 for my forums, I also have the ability to delete anyone's post.... unless I was simply made a moderator :/.

If you look at the top left of the page when you are in your forum and you see 'Forum Admin' in the black bar then you are an admin, if you just see 'help' then you are a mod....

Thanks,  yes I just noticed I am only a mod, our defunct founder is the only admin right now.  I jsut noticed cause I see it lists him as "admin" in our members page, and me and the other former active admin as only "members" :(.  Thanks for the help guys, this is really concerning because if we don't get admin we have no way to keep our community alive.

hi cpatton, i can look into your admin rights, just email me at 'chief -at- lefora.com' with your username, and the username of other admins on the forum, if you have their email address that would help me to.
