Sidebar Wont Accept My Non Java Flash Widget

#0, by ratibor, 01 July 2009 05:50 PM

hi,
it keeps putting the widget in the main forum and not the sidebar.  here is the code...

<param name="movie" value="http://www.magicwidgets.com/widgets/text-generator/textFinal.swf?textF=COMING SOON TO HORROR CLASSICS&effect=birinci&url=http://www.criticallayouts.com/ ">
<param name="quality" value="high">
<embed src="http://www.magicwidgets.com/widgets/text-generator/textFinal.swf?textF=COMING SOON TO HORROR CLASSICS&effect=birinci&inBgColor=black&url=http://www.criticallayouts.com/" quality="high" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="450" height="90"></embed></object>
<br>
<font><a href="http://www.magicwidgets.com/">MySpace Flash Widgets</a>

why wont the sidebar accept this.  i think the size should fit...?

Is that all the code? I see a </object> at the end, but there's no corresponding <object> at the start of the code... I would have expected something like this at the start

<object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="450px" height="90px" align="middle">

450px is too wide for your sidebar, though...

And I've edited your thread title for all caps.

This works in IE8, but not in FF... Probably dodgy code from magicwidgets...
