Deleting old posts in forum

#0, by breezey, 04 July 2009 06:46 PM

If old posts get deleted, will that affect the number of postings listed for the members who posted the deleted post and the members who posted replies to it?  Will the members posting statistics change with a deleted post?

possibly, i'm not sure :P

we made some recent changes to that system, and if there are any bugs, we'll be fixing them.  If a post is deleted, it should be removed from a members post count.  Please let us know if you experience otherwise.

I confirm that deleted posts still count. A couple of days ago, I did a cleanup and removed a series of test posts; now I looked at the blog of the member who posted them, the posts themselves are gone but they still show in the total post count.

Gryllus, thank you. I don't want to delete posts, if it takes away from the total count for members. I appreciate you replying to this.
