An "About" page for Classic with SideBar theme

Is there any way that to include an editable "ABOUT" page that would operate as "index.html" for people who are visting our forum for the very first time. I would love to insert a nice description and possible some screen shots on that page as well as a "Log in" &^ Register Now" buttons with links to those perspective pages.

BTW - I'm using Classic w/ Sidebar which does not have an "about" page however my forum is really beginning to look stunning.

everyone gets the 'join FORUMNAME' in their userbar when they view your page.

There used to be one, even if it was carp.

we've disabled creating new 'about' pages as part of our future plans include what kindomgeneration is asking for, basically to modify the home page with whatever information the admin wants.  this will be coming later this year.
