Show Topic Admin Actions
can you take a screenshot of what's happening (or not happening) to help describe the issue. Everything is working for me. Thanks for trying on different browsers.
kinda hard to illustrate in a screeny but here ya go dude. Youll see just highlighted text where my pointer was (it vanished for the screen shots, weird), no options opened upon clickiness. SS is from Safari, but same effect in any browser.
your lucky I have photoshop, a 2640x900 screen shot would have been tough to make out :P

Also on seperate note, People in my forum, myself included, have noted we can no longer "quote" peoples posts. If we select quote it doesn't auto fill into the reply box like it used to, it's just blank. Does it no longer show in the box or is it disabled at the moment? thanks.
I can only replicate this by running NoScript in Firefox... Works fine for me otherwise.
Which one? Not getting admin actions (which was tested on many browsers/OS's) or not being able to quote (which multiple people are experiencing, and my user base spans the globe) or my newest issue which is that I also noticed I can not delete posts at all now.
hey braxxis, if you're having problems with the topic dropdown and not being able to delete posts, it sounds like your having javascript issues. Do you have any settings or add-ons that might cause a conflict? Are you behind a firewall that might be doing something funky? Can you tell if the page is loading fully? (maybe you have widgets on the sidebar that are preventing your page from loading properly).
Um... well, I doubt every browser and every computer here at work and home plus all my members computers all simultaneously have the same exact JavaScript issues from the afore mentioned suggestions, however your last one with the sidebar makes sense to something that could affect everyone and every computer. Let me disable my chat box and I'll let you know if that's the issue.
nope didnt work. the other guy on said he still couldnt quote while things were disabled/changed either. Just doesn't make sense. I even changed the theme/deleted the CSS a few times and that didn't do it either. Strange.
Just joined your forum and the quote function works fine. If you want to make me a temp mod I can try out the dropwdown menu for you.
sure thing, thanks man. like I said, I've tried in multiple browsers and from multiple computers... it's weird that stuff is working for you though.
also quotes dont even work for me in this forum either.
Had a quick look and the topic admin works fine too. I managed to lock your terms of use using FF3.5, and unlock again using IE8.
When I had problems doing things on my site, I had someone help me and it turned out it was my Fire Fox was the problem. It had corrupted files. Not sure how you find out if that is a problem, though.
Like Ive said does not work for me in IE 7, IE 8, FF, Opera, Safari, Google Chrome, etc etc etc. Tried at home on a machine running Windows 7 and XP Pro 64bit, here at work on 3 machines running XP Pro and none of them work.
im just wondering.. could a bad java update have gone out? i can try uninstalling/reinstalling it.
Update: Just uninstalled/reinstalled Java.. here's something interesting. It states Version 6 Update 14 on the site is the latest, it shows in the control panel the same version. However when I am installing it it says it is Version 6 Update 11... not sure if the update version would matter unless it's corrupt on their site.
I'm running V6 U14

got it.. it was something weird with Kaspersky blocking the actions for some reason. I disabled protection and everything worked. Weirder thing is after I re-enabled protection everything is still working. At least I know if it happens again what's causing the issue! thanks for the help guys.
Colonel, did you want me to remove you, or were you gonna float around my forum, either ways cool, the more the merrier.
You can take away the mod thing - might hang around for a while, though
so for other admins, it seems braxxis was having the issue due to anti-virus software, http://www.kaspersky.com/

More specifically the "Banner Ad Blocking" setting under the "Content Filter" settings for any of you who have also encountered a similar issue. I turned it off completely as I still get banner Ad's regardless of it being on, which means it's ineffective anyway lol.
