Sports Talk and Fantasy Sports

I have been trying really hard to promote my forum http://fantasysportstalk.lefora.com and always looking into other ways. some things have been a little successfull some not so much. But I just checked the weekly rankings and was pleasantly surprised to see that I ranked 371 out of over 77,637 forums. If anyone might have some other ideas that u might think might be usefull to me please let me know. Like I said only a week in I still have so much to learn and I want to make this a successfull forum. Thanks

You could try following what Chief has posted in this link. Keep in mind, it takes time for your forum to show up on Google. I'd give it at least another week. Once it does start showing up, many will see what you are posting. Good luck.

What can I do????  2 weeks into my forum http://fantasysportstalk.lefora.com I have climbed to 249 rank. I get alot of visits but not alot joining as members and very few posting from members. I know once google spiders find my site I will start to get more hits but how do I get these people to join and start posting????

That's a very good climb for the first 2 weeks.

I would recommend a few steps:

1. Invite your friends to your forum using the 'send invites' link at the top right of your forum.
2. connect your profile to your facebook account, so when you start a new topic, it's listed on your facebook wall (click 'Edit Profile' to set this up)
3. Search search.twitter.com for people talking about sport topics, and send them a message hopefully replying to a question they have and point them at your forum for the answer (and answer their question in the forum)
4. Remember to keep posting new questions each day and respond to all your members, maybe send them PMs to welcome them to the community.
5. Send out a weekly announcement via the 'Group Mail' tab in the admin panel, reminding all members to come back to your forum (and why).
