"Modify Category Settings" Not able to save changes.

In the "Modify Category Settings" window there is a line for "name" and "description". When I type a description and hit save it will show up on the Administrators page, but disappears when I go to "view forum".
can you take two screenshots of this and highlight which category you're talking about so i can investigate.
I just noticed that this problem is only within the "classic theme". I changed themes and no longer have the problem.
