Abandoned forum, how do I pick it up...

Hey there, I hope this is in the right section... Anyways, the guy who was the founder of the forum ditched it, Im the only admin on the forum, how can I get the founder status?

Thanks chief, I just checked, I have the admin status in the CP but the forum still says abandoned and the message at the top saying that the forum has no admin is still there.

Hey the same applies for me, our only admin left as admin and I need to be appointed admin so that I can keep it going.  My forum is http://mammoths.lefora.com/

we can only assist people when a founder has 'abandoned' their forum, it seems like the founder of this forum has not done that?  I can't tell because it's private.  Has the founder abandoned the forum?  If they haven't, and it's been over 3 months since they've logged in, we might be able to do something, please send me an email at 'chief -at- lefora.com' and link to this post.

The founder abandonned it ages ago. He has come back a few times (where I've also re-instated him as Admin) and then left again. Last night he also hit self-destruct and now we seem to have only one Admin, and a fairly new one at that who's not too involved in the actual running of the site...

Can you help...???

Thanks for your help chief he still comes in to but he's not posting anything or communicating with me and he said he don't know how to make me founder status. It is also hard to understand him sometimes because he is from the netherlands.
