Not receiving E-mail alert when someone's knocking at my door

There was a backed up queue of mail since last night due to a problem with the company who we send email through. I'm assuming that email was from yesterday, but you only received it today after already accepting the members.

Okay, that sounds reasonable, but I only receive done E-mail although I had three requests. And today I have received no E-mail but I had a new request. So it is still not working.

are you still having this issue agathos?

It's hard to say because no one has requested membership the last days.

I sent two invites to check how it works and I was planning to send invites to several friends, but the two first invites I sent never arrived....
Can you help?

You could apply for membership and then I will see if I get an E-mail.

If you send invites to yourself, you'll never receive them (we don't send out an invite if the person is already a member).

I've had this happen.I've gotten maybe three member requests in the past couple of weeks, and I haven't received notification for any of them. Just happened to notice them in the admin panel. Most recently this happened just this morning (member applied yesterday).

is it possible that you turned off receiving these notifications in your Profile Manager?  Click 'edit profile' at the top right of your forum, then Manage Notifications.

If that's not the case, could you check your spam folder to see if these emails have gone to spam.

Not a problem for me Chief as I check often, but I have noticed the same problem.  I just approved a new member that has been waiting a while tonight, but no email ever came?

i just tested this, and I received it within 1 minute.

We want to make sure this is working for everybody.  Could you please verify that you are 'opted in' to receiving these types of emails by clicking 'Edit Profile' -> 'Manage Notifications'

Also, please verify that it's not going to SPAM, if it is, we can work on fixing that, we just need to know.

and please let me know if you have a yahoo.com email address, as we've had reports of yahoo flagging our emails as spam (hotmail, gmail, and aol appear to be alright).

I double-checked my email settings, and all of the options were checked (well, not the "never send any email" option...everything but that). I use Gmail as my address, and I check my spam as it comes in and I've never seen it come in there.

Not sure if this is related, but I just saw a message on the General board about an email going out to admins of private forums re: the ad placement change, but I did not receive that email, either. Again, I'm using Gmail and go through my spam as it comes in.
